CAPTURING YOUR BEST PERFORMANCE

THE ART OF RECORDING

FINDING YOUR SOUND

Recording a great sounding performance comes from great musicianship, inspiration, and self-awareness. Our goal is to bring out your best performance through our experience in vocal and instrumental production. We will hone your skills and capture your talent through beautiful acoustic spaces, awesome microphones, and some badass gear! For 8 years, Five Points Recording has been a well established studio in East Nashville and now we are excited to be expanding to Huntsville, AL.

CONVERSION

The difference in great digital recording comes down to how well the analog audio is converted into the digital domain. We provide excellent converters from Apogee and Antelope to allow you to capture the analog vibe and sound with all of the flexibility digital audio workstations allow. Drums are fatter, vocals thicker, and everything has more separation when recorded through better converters. Clarity and warmth all at the same time.

A FOCUSED ENVIRONMENT

Our studio is a musical wonderland located in the exciting Five Points district of downtown Huntsville. Our quiet rooms will keep the artists from being distracted from the busy city outside, while allowing you to quickly go out and explore the artsy village if you are in need of inspiration. Discovering your true artistry is made that much easier in our relaxing and inspirational environment.

HOW IT ALL COMES TOGETHER

When you record into a microphone your voice causes an electrical current to flow through the microphone, out the cable, and into a preamplifier. The preamplifier then increases this signal to a usable sound level that the audio converter will convert from analog into a digital format that a computer can read. This audio is now recorded into the digital domain where it may be edited and mixed however you may desire. Finally, the audio that is played back in the computer will be converted from digital back into analog where it will play out of the speakers. You never hear the digital version of the sound, as its impossible to. Therefore, converters are the most important part in sound quality when you are looking into capturing high end audio.
